Tips for Your Success: Responsibility

Hi dear friend,

Another week has passed, well a little more than that, and here I am with another tip that can help, support and guide you to become more successful and be complete.

The tip of this week is Responsibility. The questions that we will be asking and responding are the following: What does responsibility means? Why is it responsibility important? How can you use responsibility to make you more successful in life?

So, let us first look at what responsibility is. Responsibility means being accountable for someone or something, being responsable for an action or situation. It is standing up and saying that you are the person answerable for the action, situation or project. You can find some definitions of responsibility at Wiktionary and Dictionary.com.

Now that we have a certain idea about responsibility, let’s us ask ourselves the importance of responsibility. The most important part of responsibility, and taking responsibility, is that take control and accountability of your life. What happens in general, is that most people do not have, and not take 100% control of their own life. If you are honest to yourself, what is the percentage level of responsibility you have over your own life, and be honest to yourself. How many times do you say that another person or situation is the cause of something happening into your life?

Everytime when you answer the last question here above and your answer is that you blame another person or situation for what is happening in your life, your are NOT taking 100% responsibility of your own life. This may sound hard and cruel, but it is so. Everything that is happening in your life, and those who know the Law of Attraction know that this is true, you have created in one or another way in your recent or more further past. It is always easy to blame someone else for what is happening in your life that you don’t like, but blaming someone or something else for what is happening in your life is a kind of being a coward to yourself. Remember, everything that is happening in your life you have created.

Now, you have the opportunity to take 100% of the responsibility of your life in your own hands. And this is really important that you do this,as this will allow you to become really successful. You can only becomne really 100% successful when you take your life in your own hands, and that means that you take 100% responsibility of your own life. As long as you blame others for what is happenig into your life, you will never become successful.

There is a small formula that you can use to remember to take 100% responsibility of your life, and that will help and support you to look at life in a different perspective. The formula comes from Jack Canfield’s book ‘The Success Principles’, which I highly recommend that you read. The formula is "E+R=O", which means "Event + Response = Outcome". This is a very strong formula. It states that to be able to change an outcome, the only is your response to an event. An event you cannot change, but you can decide how you will response to an event that is happening. The way you will respond will determine the outcome. Basically, you can respond on an event positively or negatively. One example to explain is when you are sitting in a traffic jam. You can respond to the event (the traffic jam) in a way that you say ‘Well, it is as it is, and I cannot change it, so I am staying calm and relaxed, and I do what i can do to organise around the traffic jam. I will call my boss or appointment that I will be a little later due to the traffic jam.’ This attitude and response will give you an outcome of being quite relaxed and calm, and the rest of your day will be great and fine. On the other hand, you can respond to the traffic jam (the event) as follows: ‘I am going to be late, and that is not going to work out, etc’ and probably you will be swearing about the traffic jam. Now, the outcome here is that you will be tense, overreacting, and put yourself into a bad mood, and your day will be quite ruined.

Do you see the difference between the two different attitudes and at the end the two different outcomes. In the second example you blame the traffic jam or whatever that is happening for what is happening into your life. You do NOT take responsibility for your own life. In the first example, you take responsibility for what is happening in your life in that moment and do not blame someone or something else for the traffic jam. As you take responsibility for your own life, it is also much simplier and easier for you to take action, certainly when you have clear defined objectives in your life.

So, take 100% responsibility in your own life, and you will see that your life will be much more interesting and exciting, and you will be able to become more successful.

Have a great and excellent day and week.
